The difference in rendering style between cowboy and the rest is quite suspicious. Any reference(s) used?
The clouds are really pillow shaded and their colour choice is weird. You may wish to research anti aliasing further, what you've done is outline everything in a pixel- hugging way.
The color-reduction is still obvious. No palette control here (Ex. you have four dark colors that are totally reundant). Find a real piece of pixel-software and learn how to use it...coz you have skills and should not waste time pushing 24-bit reductions.
Very cool background. I just think some antiliasing on the silhouttes would make it better.
Hi, could you please make sure you submit a version of this that hasn't been affected by colour reduction.
What this means is taking an image that has a higher colour count, perhaps 45 or so, and then using a program like Photoshop to automatically lower the value to an arbitrary number, in this case 32.
When you do this you end up with weird looking artifacts that automatically appear and distort the appearance of your piece. For example, the pattern that can be clearly seen in the blue area (and in some other places too). I think if you look carefully in your original image you'll find that there are probably many areas that have very similar colours anyway, such as several colours that are very close to black. You could try removing those colours, if you are looking to reduce the colour count. Anyway, I made an image showing the main problem areas. Please try to fix this before the challenge deadline - around 11 hours at the time of writing.
Also, please write in your description what two genres you've combined, I can see romance, but I'm not sure of the other.
Thanks.
I love the composition of the image, and I thinkthis could be, whenthe technical details are ironed out, one of the coolest I've seen here lately. The way thelovers are sillhouetted by the sky and sunset-lit clouds is lovely.
