This just came to my attention. I think this is great. I like how you added the hair and changed the whole tonality. I'm honored that the painting inspired this. I've since moved the image so the new link to it is here (Shadow Dance by Matt Abraxas)
I love how it draws my eye along the piece, and the color usage here is excellent.
sharprm - Thanks for the feedback! It's always good to know how art looks like on different monitors.
DawnBringer - You're right about the jaggy arm. I really appreciate your edit - looks great! I'll take a look at this in depth whenever I decide to edit this piece.
Thanks slym & darchangel!
The first thing that came to mind was Shakira :D very sexy, faved.
Her hair is really well drawn. This is a very awesome style. I look forward to seeing your future works.
Great idea and nice colors. However there is room for improvment; the image lacks severly in AA, the upper part of the extended arm looks jaggy/blocky. The dark brown color should be moved a bit towards purple and the pink hue could be brighter - giving better options for skin-shading and AA.
Again great image, but with a few fixes it would be brilliant...ok, I couldn't resist a quick edit, hope you don't mind: hem.fyristorg.com/dawnbringer/bellydancer_dawnedit.gif
looks pretty good the hand could use reworking the pinky looks like it comes out of the wrist. my monitor isn't callibrated but it the pink looks too saturated on mine to blend with the lighter color.
Petrichor - I did a quick edit. It should look better now. Thanks!
Photocopier - Done! I'm so ungrateful.
blueleds - Exactly what I was going for.
Beats Antique! <3
This is lovely, nice movement. =3 The bits where her hair meets her back are a bit rough and could use some AA (maybe with the medium/light purple shades you use in the top left corner?), but very pretty, nonetheless.
Very nice work!
You should make an animated gif with it
