The base colours, or the shadows? I did have to go off of someone else's palette for the base colours, but if you meant contrast in the shadows, then I'll absolutely keep that in mind next time, thank you. (:
I think the palette could use a little bit of work, however the shaping and idea are amazing! Oh and you may want to add a little more contrast, but that's just a finishing touch to add .
You really captured the "moogle" well, that's what caught my eye about the piece. Very nice.

In my opinion you could have made either the colours lighter or added a darker background (the stock background colour from PJ doesn't do your piece any justice at all with all the darker colours you used, you hardly see the difference in colour between the darker colours).
