This is a game I'm making called Dark Cross. It's a gothic side-scroller similar to Casltevania and Ghouls and Ghosts. I know the sprites aren't thrilling, I'm usually more concerned with the programming than the graphics.

I'm making it with VB.NET because I don't like lame-wod programs like RPG maker and GameMaker. I prefer REAL programming languages to make games.

It uses the gameboy resolution (160 x 144) and 4 colour palette.

Yeah, it's pretty soothing to me. The only problem is that when you're working with a 4 colour palette you have to do a lot of colour swapping, especially if you don't plan ahead (who does?).
