You are 100% right about that - although I kind of meant corresponding about between cover and music artist about what they think fits good with the music (aka what impression the music gives you, or what you think about when you hear the music) - not letting the graphic artist completely decide what fits to it while it completely doesn't correspond with what the music artist meant
Well, I think its fine for artists to have their own idea of how to visually represent their music. I think its not really my place to want creative freedom on something that ultimately isnt mine.
In that case it's very understandable that you didn't go for something radically different from their ideas They should've let you a little more loose on the subject of the cover...
Thanks!
For the front, the author asked for a sliced grapefruit, with washed out, grayed colors. I didnt want to awkwardly impose a stylistic choice he didnt want on the image, and do something radically different. That would have been a little uncalled for, unless he had actually told me to go nuts.
Good to see you posted some work again recently Your style is pretty unique, and this piece - although a little more peaceful than most of your other pieces does look great
Not entirely about the link between the artwork/cover and the music itself though (something which most artist don't get right in my opinion) - A little more psychidelic or more visible pixels in the art might have fitted a bit better to the music
This is absolutely brilliant. I love the colours.
