Works great..but the only issue I see is the way the hair moves on the left side of the girls face. It doesnt seem natural to me. It juts out a little to far, and then bends up in a weird motion.
The image is great overall though.
This is awesome. Except... I feel like you shouldn't be so severe with your low color counts. It isn't a crime to do 16 or 32 colors :P.
Well, the animation is great, the colors are super dramatic (in an awesome way), and my favorite part is the little twinkle when the light on the blade meets the hilt.
The thing that strikes me as weird, maybe just a stylistic choice, is how very spherical her breasts are, despite being clothed - like, there's even an undercut on the right one (her left). Other than that, she looks great, I love the subtle animation on the more taught fabric!
wish I had this skill, one of my favorites from this year. I'm really disappointed in myself for this, but I'm the ass who didn't give you anything..
Thanks for all the comments and favs, I really appreciate it. I won't address the creative decisions and flaws in the piece since it's a gift-art, but it's very interesting to read other artists' opinions! And happy new year, all!

Haha also, i don't really understand where the leaves are coming from seeing as how the background is all rock, but that's not important cause it looks really cool.
Really great, but here right (our left) hand seems a little weird, the pinky finger looks like a little claw.and the arm seems a little off compared to the rest of the picture because it moves the least.
Love it. Very Stylish. Sorry to hear about your lack of gift. Happened to me once, too. It's hard to feel too bad about it though considering all the other awesome artwork that we get to see.
The pile of bodies is hard to tell how big it is. it shouldn't go too far back because you have the background versus foregorund contrast thing.
i think the dead orcs right arm looks like a left arm.
the leaves could be brown instead of black.
well done, great atmosphere, great colors. using only two colors really for bg is clever did u get that from amiga games like sotb or agony? i really like the girls face and animation.

Definitely in my top 5 faves from the secret santa thing this year. The windy motion is very convincing. I love what you did. The simple coloring makes it even more impactive.
My only question is the contrast difference between foreground and background. Obviously a creative decision, but I wonder if it would all "connect" better if the bg had black shadows too, or at least more closely shared the fg's contrast range.
Overall very good work. Simply amazing flow on the animation.
However, the left foot seems a bit stubby, and the right foot seems to be curving upwards. The clouds in the back do seem a bit repetitive aswell.
This may have been my favorite one! The subpixeling is kickass, the scarf is perfect, the feathers in the wind... nice work.
