@sharprm: Update, created more motion in the piece vie hair strands and eye direction. Also added flower :p
@Pragz: Hmm. It's not meant to be fired by the ringmaster, instead by someone off screen to the right.
@r1k: Changed expression and arms. Crucifixion analogy, though unintentional, may not be a bad thing :D
@SHANNON: Thanks :D
its pixelled good, but the face just doesnt seem to match the situation to me. The composition is a little odd to me too, having him perfectly centerd like that and with his arms out, it could almost be a crusifiction picture if the pie was taken out. His arms might be a little thin too. Good job with the pallete though, the colors in the face are well done.
I know this is REALLY nitpicky, but... considering you said it was a miss, that would mean the angle would have to be perfectly in line with the thrower. As-is, the pie looks like it went straight through his head. Maybe lining it up more with the angle of the ring-master's cane?
Tru dat. Will change eye expression, was originally looking up. Hair blowing to the side's a good idea :D
Flower'll make it look less mirrored too :B
currently there is more hair on his left side do it the other way like pie creates wind. honestly he looks like he is balancing a pie on his arm :P (heh reminds me of black addar with the slug balancer) but i think you could tweak it a little and make it funnier. maybe look in the mirror to see what rolling your eyes the expression or maybe there are funny comedies where they do that and copy the expression. http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e199/sharprm/clownface-1.png
Near miss :P
Was going to have a hand holding it / it flying t'wards him but the both looked crap.
hair looks much better. maybe tone it down for the top half of the hair.
you should rethink the position of the shadow caused by the pie on his arm.
also consider deforming the tip so its going to the right a little. Also consider motion blur/trail for the highlight on the pie dish.
