Hmm.... I may redo it at some point (add kinda).

 I personally wouldn't call it minimalistic; when I hear that word I think of the likes of Donald Judd et cetera. I reckon with a few extra pixel here 'n' there, this could be quite realistic form of art. Definitions aside, it's not a bad piece. I like the texture of the blue surface she's sitting on.

I know I messed up a lot of things... but I am very new to pixel art still... and even art in general. If you would comment with somethings that I could do to improve the piece (like C+C) it would be great. I don't like the shading at all... well I like the way I did the lower legs (That's where I started) but they probably aren't good :(

As for minimalism, those examples are to the extreme ends of minimalism, my picture just touches minimalism, lack of background, lack of color (gray particulary).
I guess minimalism is what you make it... or am I going over my own head?

You certainly have a free-thinking, artistic mind.  I don't know, maybe it's above and beyond me, but I'm not sure what to say.  It doesn't look....well....professional.  The character is off-balance.  It isn't shaded too well.  Minimalism does not only mean an emphasis of pure, reduced forms, it also means strict, systematic compositions.  It emphasizes art where the individual elements of a subject are diminished.  I'm not quite certain, but I think you're confused on what minimalism really looks like.  Here are some examples:

The thumbnail doesn't look like the detail view.  Can you fix this?
