Really nice use of color. The trees and sky look awesome, the water (especially the flowing part of it) needs a bit of work. Very good, though.
Thanks for all the comments guys.
@IsoWayne - It was designed to feel like a canvas painting...as least that was what I was shooting for.
@Pragz - Yeah, I still struggle with water. You're probably right about less blue.
As for the AA comments, I didn't want to over work things to much, but I do agree a little AA would help to smooth things out a bit. I was afraid about loosing the striking contrast of the branchy tree against the sky, but looking at it now you guys are probably right, especially working the sky a bit more.
@Manupix - I was the most careful about choosing the palette since that's one of my weak points. I tried to capture a pink-like feel(not just the sky)....Maybe that's what jalonso means by a neutralizing color? The other paintings I'm working on feature another color.
@daniel64 - Those ideas sound really good. Especially elves in the grass.
Nice!
Agree with comments about AA (needs).
Interesting palette, maybe the tree greens are a bit too realistic compared to the rest. Water blue is nice even if very unrealistic; water could blend more with the surroundings in the distance, and have reflections as Pragz said.
I'm impatient to see the others!
For something this realistic, the water doesn't look right. It needs to cast reflections and be a little less blue. Very nice piece nonetheless!
It is a very unique and intriguing style. In my opinion it looks like you've actually attempted to make it look like a canvas painting. I see that stlye coming across and I think the use of AA would make it lose some of its canvas painting feel. I think you did a wonderful job.
Very nice piece that could be improved with some refinement via AA. Especially the sky, the brachy tree and the water.
Nice background:)
Just a little more refinement, detail with some AA and this will make this sweet piece of work, even sweeter!
This looks like a good game - easily could have ufo's in the sky, elves in the grass, a railroad built through it etc.
You should add some depth to the grass. Some random shades would make it look a lot fuller.
I don't know much about landscapes but i like it. maybe use lighter color pixels to make parts of the branches appear thinner than one pixel.
Nice :)
The sky could d with some working, perhaps water reflections of it and the trees.
pretty nice - a bit strange colour choice
