An art piece doesn't have to have a story and it can be abstract. I see that there's gumball machine, there are what look like doors and windows and there's a cauldron. But people would have this voice in the back of their head that will keep on asking, "why are these things together? Are those things what I think they are?" If the person can't make out what the overall theme is, they'll just shrug it off. It's nice to have a way of letting people see you piece the wa you do.
The "story" that they are asking is what the viewer would make them think "oh, it's a renegade base" or, "wow, how depressing it must be to be in his situation." It's just that little thing that makes a piece of art feel complete. Story driven pieces work if they have a good story. Abstract pieces work if they bring about an emotion.
Well, there are loads of people in here that would help you out in making epic pixel art. Don't be afraid to ask. That's what the site is for. =)
I see that green planet in the sky, I think they are making something
Yeah this looks VERY confusing O_o. What is happening here?
