you make pixel art look ridiculously easy.... this is so awesome!
Thank you for your feedback, I'll rework it.
It's my own puppet's style, cause i've created this brush preset.
I agree with Balamoot...
You need to improve a lot of stuff... Maybe you could start by creating your own puppet's style (I think I've seen the one you're using as part of a brush preset). If you start with that, the scale of objects and buildings will be easier to reproduce...
Well the number of colors doesn't bother me, but the objects here...
1.Scale of the objects is awful (just compare the people/the cars/the tanks/the drowning car/ the copters/the stopbar)
2.The tree is really annoying.
3.I believe the shapes of the river and the rocks are supposed to be curved, but not awkward.
4.The motto 'Make pixels not war' is taken from Totto Renna's site http://supertotto.com/site/archives/category/jobs/ (Sorry can't insert links in a proper way, because of my browser). Totto Renna is one of the first iso pixelartists, I have learnt a lot from his pieces.
5.And finally, the parachutes! Well, guess you know what is the problem. ))
yeah i knew it was either the characters or the tanks. the proportions between the two were wierd. that and the builinds were smaller then the tanks. in my world that normally isn't the case...thats what made me say tanks. as the people seem to be in proportion mostly to everything else.
when i say people i'm comparing the soldiers. the people on the road are odd because two of them i suspect to be kids so they are smaller.
Thank you for your feedback, I think my characters are too small. I would change my characters to make them larger and more detailed.
Thank you again.
Nasc
I think the humans are too small, not the tanks too big. Picture one of those guys in one of the cars.
Still a nice pic!
Its just great I cant say more.I have no words to tell you how good does it look
Tanks are usually THAT huge. Or bigger. In my country, tanks from the last war are even bigger sometimes.
WTF!
what is this war of the giants? those tanks are huge, you would need all of china just to operate a small group of them.
Saw this on RetroPixel :)
The large colour count could be improved by making the colours more contrasted, your buildings have a slightly darker side but in life, it'd likely be even darker. You could even modify and reuse the cliff colours. The random lighter lines (Such as on the top of the rock in the lower half of the river) are pretty much useless at 1x zoom.
I like the simple shading style, again contrast can make that even better :)
could definitely use some color conservation, and many of the details are barely visible due to the low contrast between the given colors, but as the description says, it is old.
and old though it may be, it's much improved from its tianamen square predecessor
The piece is wonderful ful but if this were a .GIF, it would be at or over the color limit.
So get rid of the cracks in the road that are only visible at 800%.
Truly amazing, Nasc FTW! ;)
