This is a portrait of Bill Murray's character, Steve Zissou, from the fantastic film "The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou". This pixel art is based on two reference pics. I highly reccomend this movie to all who haven't seen it. Don't forget to rate this art!

Bill looks a little darker skinned than I remember him (haven't seen the movie, is he tanned?), but otherwise slick stuff.

Excellent work, would love to see it with the face in it. I had a high school teacher that would call me bill murray, which later turned into Bill, but I love him anyway :)

Very nicely drawn. I wasn't too sure on leaving the face out to start with but it's grown on me. Definitely striking.

I've seen the movie (haven't seen it all, got bored somewhere inthe middle) and it was so-so...I LOVE the music, though. Anyway, I'd like to see what you could do with the face...the rest is very well pixeled, though!

shouldnt you have included fish in his face if you were going to make his face black. I think generally, its just you avoiding the need to do a large portrait or bill murray.

i love this movie! and wow, the hat and shirt are insanely perfect. I'm quite partial for the shirt though. it's so smooth. the shading and coloring is amazing. it looks like an actual photo. I sorta think the black face was a good idea. If you did the face, then the details of the hat and shirt would be less noticed. well, maybe. I don't know.

Hmm, I think I'm feeling a similar vibe coming from all of you.

I must say that I'm pretty much done with this piece, I definitely won't do any more hard pixeling on it from now on. It just plain wore me out and the parts that I did pixel came out great, according to you guys. I can pretty much safely say that it will be faceless for a pretty long time to come. So, only small, minor updates from now on, if any. I'm done with this!

Perhaps one day you will fill in the face...I do not like blackness. Hideous, atrocious, and dead. Otherwise, nice hat and shirt!

Hate to say it, but i did get lazy on the face. I was EXTREMELY focused on the shirt and hat, though. Glad to hear that it paid off.

This movie only seems to "do it" for some people. I thought it was beautiful, and I REALLY liked the music (old Casio-style techno. who knew?)

Excellent pixel work on the hat, but the black face thing is a little odd.

Regarding the flick: I love Wes Anderson, Owen Wilson and Bill Murray, but this movie didn't do it for me.

I think it looks kind of silly with the black head. You could put some fish and sea creatures in there to liven it up a bit - it doesn't seem to make any sort of statement to me apart from 'I was too lazy/unmotivated to do any more' y'know? Loving that dithering, looks smooooth as.

Well best dithering work of you ever, the hat is amazing. The hard outline of the black head disturbs a little bit, but its really sweet.
