Hey Roller, what program are you doing your work in? For animation I would recommend using "Promotion", you can get a demo copy at cosmigo.com - Effects animations can be difficult, it can take a while to learn to do them effectively and they are tedious to do. I would recommend looking at some sprites from some of the fighting games (Street Fighter, Art of Fighting, Samurai Showdown, Dark Stalkers etc.) they all contain cool effects, look to see how those effects are achieved and apply what you learn to your own work.
Thanks for the critic, ill go over this later on, I have a silly idea for this animation.. i feel like starting another big project like my avatar shippuden mock up but diff concept..
looks more like he is standing over a fire than conjuring an energy ball
It's my first time animating a power or something.. I really suck at doing animation.. maybe i should ask for some help
Roller, roller, roller....no,no,no. I've seen your gallery, I know you can push pixels. You can do better. This is a lazy, cheap special effect and the animation is just too minimal. You need to push this and yourself harder. You can do MUCH better. Wouldn't that energy ball cast a glow on the character? How does one conjure up this massive amount of energy without moving? Without any effort? And the energy ball itself, it shouldn't look like a TV that can't get a signal. Where are the enegry bolts? The sparks? The swirling clouds? This could be SO much more interesting. This is a good starting point but go back and really put some effort into this.
I use GIF MOVIE GEAR for animating and i do the diff frames on MS PAINT
