So... much... dithering...

Wonderful beetle colors, wonderful bg colors!

They don't fit together so well though, these two palettes give a different kind of atmosphere.

You could have reused the bettle clors for the mantis, in opposite proportions => it would still have looked green but more balanced.

Dithering: that was a hard but valuable lesson! ;)

Something about the poses makes this look epic :P. If you had a dark background and more smoke this could really improve :D And a little less dithering. 

Uggghh, the color choices you made for the stag beetle are lovely. ; o ;
