Me thinks its pretty good, but it needs a background, and the lines coming from the explosion could be cleaned up a bit, looks like it was made with a dragged out pencil tool.  The AA on the lines arent really visible either.  Good job on the city though. :>

As for the chalenge, I'm really not sure if it fits the theme.
