It's really hard to get it the right size. I made it on a mac. and for some reason I can't ever get them to size right. now that I think about it It was a little too big. most of my pixel art is too tiny to figure out what it is. oh well
This is pretty much the definition of oekaki. As others have said, if you were to clean up the lines and give it some AA this could be great! :D
(And you kinda misspelt Preview)
Yes, please use a unique preview for each of your pieces. A simple crop is fine.
Well. You obviously have a sense for color. But the line work is really, really rushed, and one reason is, this piece (some of your other pieces too) is waaaay too big.
Pixel-art is about careful placement of each and every single pixel - almost. This would take far too much time at this size: I'd recommend to try this at 100x150px.
If you used a reference image (as seems to be the case with some other pics), please say so and post a link.
Don't use auto text on the previews, and maybe try to make them a little more attractive! ;)
Feel free to visit and use the WIP forum. And, welcome to PJ!
'I can't ever get them to size right': do you mean, you don't have control of the piece size in the software you're using (which one?), or you find you don't make the right size choices?
As I said, 100x100ish is a good manageable size for a lot of pieces.
The subjects of your pieces were not the easiest there are. I think they are worth reworking though. So, again, the forum!
Also you might consider entering the weekly challenge. Tip: almost all challenge entries make it to the gallery!
Hope to see more of your stuff!
