I don't understand the point in the anim, it could have several meanings none of which is obvious. 'Scratching my nose'? 'Don't you count on it'? 'Look over there'?

The finger looks like some sort of paper cutout.  Try getting rid of the lighter outline.

GIMP or Unfreeze are good programs for animation.
