see it like this... the further something is away from u the more air is inbetween, which acts as a kind of filter , damping the colors and also making them brighter, just like fog, but not that exaggerated
hmm i didnt know this, i dont really understand it fully but thanks for showing me, ill try to apply it to my future works.
hmm indeed. i actaully did ' put darker' colors as it goes deeper, guess i sitll need to work on picking better colors but thanks a lot for showing me' . and to think of it, wonder why i didnt i though of looking for beach picture x.x.
totally agree with inphy... take a close look at that edit...
dont go bigger next time, keep the canvas small so ull actually learn more about pixels and how they work together
The water keeps reading like a wall of jelly, probably because it looks like there is a horizon. Look up some images of beaches, and you'll notice that the deeper it gets, the darker it gets. Now it looks like the upmost lightest part is actually sky showing through.

The size is fine really, bigger does not automatically equal better. It's a good size for testing things out without having to redo large areas.
well i do finally get it after studying abit up on ' light' and look at some more real life picture.
to say i fail to mention x.x i made this base on an overhead view, so.. it wont really follow that principal does it ? ( like how u would see in most rpg)
but thanks a lot , i did learn a lot, it will prove to be useful.
