C + C means comment and critique
AA stands for anti aliasing.
Ohh I see. What does AA stand for? And what's C+C dithering?
AA is using different colors to make the lines look smoother. :D
Amazing..However.. If you want C+C Dithering maybe and AA?
Thank you for taking your time to point this out to me, you're absolutely right. Some rounder/more consistent shading would do him a lot of justice, especially in the orbs.
I'm actually not terribly familiar with the dithering method, but Ive been practicing with it a bit after seeing the beautiful works on this site ( I was directed here from a pixel art dithering tutorial on DA actually, and I don't regret registering after such great feedback! :D ).
I will definitely take your advice with future works (as time constraints and deadlines are coming up on me with this game) so thank you again soo much for your detailed review! >w<,,
Thank you for the welcome! :D Yes indeed he is a big fellow. I agree with you 100% on the size, it would be much easier; but since he is a large creature and designed for my game, I had to create a large scale version. (the main character is around the 100px range) Some texturing could definitely improve it, I agree. Thank so much for the feedback :D
Beauuuutifuuuuul tail~ :D Nice palette choice and lines :> I'm really loving the creativity of the features and concept of this guy.
Shadings are nice, but could do with some texture, maybe dithering or make it look like it has fur, because its looking pretty flat at the moment. Shadings are jagged in some areas like the darkest shade of yellow on the largest tusk. Could definitely be cleaned up a bit. Thats the most visible one to me, but the darkest shade of yellow on all the tusks could do with some work. Make them more consitant so the line thicknesses dont change. The shadings yellow orb things arent consistant either. Darker shade is squarish...
Beautiful colors, but 40 is a loooooot. Try not to use so much. Also if you dithered, you wouldn't need as many as you used.
And as Manupix said, its a bit big. If it were smaller, animation, dithering, and getting lines cleaner would be easier :)
Took forever because it's waaaay too large for pixel art, esp animation.
Concept and colors are gorgeous, lines are well polished.
Shading could use more work, and texture.
I'd highly encourage you to try a 100x100 max version, that's within reach of animation (and still a big lot of work!)
And, welcome!
ohh! thank you so much, I'm not so great with acronyms haha
