k, this has too many colors in the top-right quadrant and you haven't posted your ref, so I'm sending back. Please address both issues before you resubmit.

 haha, yeah. Doing much to it is hard with the contest restrictions.. So.. Tomorrow i'll probably fix it up a bit.. hopefully make it look better.

Definitely needs work.  The closest eye blends in too much with the face :/  Nose and moth arent very readable.  I suggest making them have outlines.  Eye also needs pupil, and iris, w/e.  Mouth colors need more contrast, and background is a bit crappy
