This has around 660 (!) colours, and yet is still lacking in contrast.
It's not my drawing, it's from a book with medieval illustrations,
About colors: I know that it has too many colors, but I once I started, I couldn't stop =). Next time I reduce their number.
Your drawing is a lil' bit naive, but still the overall pixel art is AWESOME!
Colours are strange but interesting and nice.
Ok... I'll have to agree the colours look a little strange in some parts, but maybe it's meant to be that way? And I actually like it! It gives a quite different feel to this piece. It reminds me of some medieval paintings; only with lighter colours. Very good work!
@TheRobinHood: wasn't suppose to sound harsh, I'm sorry if my comment offended the artist. There are a lot of good things about this piece, the lineart is awesome just like the colors choice, and it takes a lot of patience to pixel something this big without losing the sense of proportions.
askukicco - you're right, but thats a bit harsh...
Knight and girl needs hairlines. some texture are really messed up, like the left hill. Sky color is too green. Knight is doesn't stand out enough. Armour color should be darker. Trees are just about blobs, I would suggest visiting here for help on trees. The grass closest is good, but some jaggies could be cleaned up. a bit farther back to the right, the texture dissapears! D: The grass should be more consistant.
This has 256 colors+ :<
Use less colors, like the grass. The colors should picked out before you start, this way you dont go crazy with the color count. Yuckish yellow green grayish grass on the left should be green.
But this has potential. To the WIP forums, you!
Pretty messed up coloring technique, the way you pixelled it just doesn't give it justice. I think there's no sense in making this pixelart at all.
I love this style! Awesome textures on things too. The details on the nose are kind of hard to see though and she also seems to be sort of mis-shapen on her left side, but other then that it's great.
I find it really interesting. Even the proportions look awesome. It doesnt look like a mistake, rather a style in its whole integrity. 5/5
