Backcround looks like a modern city with the lights turned off. Maybe I would suggest a swamp, forest or mo0untains, whatever you are more confortable with. I really liked the way you did the grass, so I think a jungle/nature setting would be a good fit. If you want to stick to that BG, I suggest creating a gradient in the sky, maybe with a few clouds in it. Hope it helps.
if ur looking for critics/ edits, id suggest u go to the forum with this first.....it propably wont make it into the gallery anyway, cause of 'wip-status' and disgusting non-pixelart font'....

Too much empty space on the sky ;) Like the character, but he seems to be floating.
text isnt pixeled, change it and I vote for a yes to get accepted.
