Yeah, the sky is very flat, the rest of the piece seems really nice! I'd love to see this finished. 

 I'd like to traverse this on Mario Galaxy.  Fun design!

I love the shapes of the landscape :D And the light is so awesome

Those white dots where suposed to be (or become) like strings, or cobwebs or something like that.
Maybe i'll finish it after the challenge.

Sky is a bit flat as you said, but other than that, this is very nice!  What are the little white dots though? :D
