thanks a lot for the comments!
hehe, as far as i know there were some speculations, yes, but i cant really vouch the game will be available in languages different than polish. english wouldnt be much of a problem, though -- if the higher-ups give us the green light, i would be eager to give it a shot. hehe, and i guess de would do the british variant ;) its an mm-something-rpg, so you play directly in a browser and wont have to literally go to a store and pick it up from a shelf -- a credit system will be introduced instead -- you receive some extra bonuses for the real money you pay ;)
thanks for the interest! :)
I'm Canadian, Eh'... =P
Get an English version, then I'll buy it and you guys can have some rice this month. This looks to attractive not to play, I might have to use a translator.
=B
Wow that game you are working on looks amazing!!! the perspective issue doesn't bother me when it's in-game. The screenshots look fine because everything is this RPG perspective.
WE DON'T WANT NO STINKIN' AMERIKANS PLAYING OUR POLISH GAME! >:(
j/k :D
I'm not sure if there are any plans for translating the game into American, but who knows? And it's not like i know much about it, even though I also make tilesets for it :) So buy it once it comes out or neither Skurwy nor I get to eat rice this month, thanks.
Damn, I'd play the crap out of that game if a English version came out on the site and perhaps in-game as well. I checked out the screenshots on the site and they look promising (even though it took a while to find them, since I don't know Polish).
Anyways, onto the piece - I really like it, despite it's perspective flaws. I love the detail and colours!
perspective is weird, making it ugly for my eye. If the perspective is better, the whole piece would be much better too.
thank you!
bob: yeah, i guess i've used the wrong name, i meant rpg maker type top-view, in fact the game uses its technology. a sample screen of how such a perspective works can be found here: http://www.relite.org/v2/images/stories/galleries/rpg_maker_vx/rpg_maker_vx.jpg (some different game), or at the neurostaza website. i'll change the description to avoid further misuderstandings, then. ;)
badassbill: didn't know that, thanks for the warning! :)
khoryl: well, some parts of this piece are indeed rushed. i had to make it in a shortest amount of time possible (it's money, after all), designing and pixeling it in around 7h (i'm slow. . .), and didn't have much time left to wade through all those shortcomings. . . it has the door though, i guess the address sign makes that hard to see (i had to include it somewhere there, you know). plus, i wanted to make the upper part to look removable. i'm glad you like the shading! :)
I agree on the fact that the global perspective make it look weird. It also look like that the front part is composed of two differents vehicles (well maybe it's intended ? or maybe it's just me) and there isn't much space for the main door.
Beside that it's really nice, i love the detailled shading o.0
Just so you know, PJ prefers no transparency effects at all. Even if it's just shadows or text elements.
Is this truly sideview perspective, or kinda' tilted birds-eye? I guess if it's meant to be side view, there's a whole lot of things that look indistinguishable and out of persective...but if more wackier topview or rpg type topview, than I guess it could work... I like how you did the shading on the metal with the brown and green hues....
Holy bananas that is sweet.
I'm loving the steampunk/ grunge feel to it. =D
Checked out the awesome screenshots, and this game does look promising :D
Nice textures :)
