The blank part of all your pieces are very... artistic. Gives me a good, confident feeling when I see your pieces. :)
although nice in terms of composition, the blank blue background doesnt work very well. there are at least two solutions from this point: either crop the picture a little more and loose some 1/3 of the upper part, or make an interesting water texture. . . this is where photoshop brushes/noise would come in handy but you cant use it :) other than that, its an okay piece. :)
I agree, the palette could've been better. Still, it's a nice piece.
Would be nice if the squid could stick out a bit from the BG. I know octopuses and stuff can change their colours to actually blend into the environment, but it would look better if it was some sort of pale red or something.
Bubbles might need some work too, not sure how.
Other than that, this is pretty much perfect.
IMO those warm brown colours on the ground and squid are kinda odd for underwater environment. Maybe some hue shift towards green? Background looks really nice:)
I'm not really a fan of the copied ground in the front :P but other than that It is nice, I love the background :D
just the squid. i have to say, the stones and rocks, did i made 3-4 days before. at first i wanted to do a new landscape. but than i saw this funny thing, and i love it. i wanted to do now, an scene underwater with a squid.
The colors are well picked, looks great! You have such nice enviroment work, keep it up. =)
Really nice work even though the upper part is kinda... well... empty ^^'
Concerning the Squid I think it just need some more AA on the edges (mostly on the head part where there's just a tiny bit of pillow shading :P).
no, that isn't one of the friend pictures.
all friends left behind? ^^
the seagrass in the back and the squid could need some aa, bit of banding on the bubbles.... other crits can be found in the forum post.... very nice though...
is it right, that you produce one good picture, after another? ;P
Bang bang! Another one bites the dust!
