I know, but when I started to reduce the color pallete, I liked how it's looked with only 4 colors.
@-DE-: Thanks :P
Yes, you should have used fewer colours.
No, that doesn't mean colour reduce it to 4 colours.
I'm working on 4 colors version, it lose details, but looks really good. Thanks for the tips.
Btw it's 51 colors... but still thats WAAAAY to many try like 8 maybe 10.
The concept and line work are both pretty good. Buddy90 is right though, the colors should be cut way back.
It's often a good idea to try to come up with a set palette of colors before you start coloring your piece. Then you can try to stick to the colors you already defined as much as possible. Sometimes this will present you with challenges, but the artwork usually comes out all the better for it.
Dithering is a good way to conserve colors, but it shouldn't be used everywhere. Only dither when you need to create a transition between different colors, or when you want to add texture to something. It's great to experiment with different dithering patterns as well.
All in all, a few things could be improved but you're on the right track, and I look forward to seeing what you'll create as you get more experience and practice in.
I'm new at this , I'll try to use fewer colors to the next time, thanks
.
64 colors?!?! What? That's WAY too many. Especially with the crazy amounts of dithering.
Interesting palette, the colors work together well.
