i agree with onek. You can still make the jacket read as black if you just add purple highlights. Even when things are dark, you can still use color in shading and highlights and people will still read it as black.
purples, blues, and greens especially. Also play with saturation.
I have trouble with black, his jacket is black but I can't get it down. I will look at the mask maybe lose some of the red.
What ones look better then other? sometime i get lazy and other time its because i only been doing this less then a month or lack of knowledge i guess.
This is for a music project coming out in April. I make video game music so i went with a beat em up 80-90s style 16 bit look. Came up with a story to go along with it and these are all the characters. wel most of them. Give you something to look at when your on our site listening to the beats.
what is this street war project...? like some game or stuff? anyway the sprites seem to differ in quality a lot.... are they done by different people?.... this ones very nice actually, but i think the head might need some cleaning... and maybe lighten up that mid tone of the jacket a bit
