well cool, great job with the emulation I think you pulled it off well
Thanks for all the great comments, guys!
@Kaiseto: You're definitely right about that. Fool manages to make it look like he's using a lot of colors while not, which is really impressive to me. This version cuts down one color, so that's a slight improvement... xD
@Lucas: I can kinda see what you mean, though I have a similar trouble articulating it (if I could, I probably would have changed it xD) If you (or anyone else) figures it out, though, please post a comment on it!
@x-death: I appreciate your thoughts. I made a few minor changes to those areas, though some more specifics would help a lot.
agree with the colour count issue, but it's a great piece indeed...
yeah they are right, the colors aren't exactly like fool's but they are close enough. the one thing that proves this isn't fool is how he draw, his drawing always uses the colors really well, and everything has a great pose nd everything is just perfect. but your peice doesn't really reflect that at all.
thats why i kew it wasn't one of fools. people don't pay attention to the avatar enough to realize, but any true fan of fool will have seen through this shame. in my opinion the helmet on the head gives you away heaps, the ears do as well but not alot. beyond that i would have had to look at the peice in more detail to try and see if it was his or not.
Looks great. But I would change the colors a bit. Not reduce the amount of colours, just change the colors themselves. Not sure how. But theres something Fool does with his hues and stuff that really helps to give it that foolish look. Other than that, perfect. X]
Argh. Thought it was Fool's XD
Agree about colors, but very nice job anyways :P
Very nice. Definitely a good immitation of Fool's instantly-recognizable style. Only suggestion I'd make is maybe going back and trying to lower the color count. It's not particularly high right now, but Fool tends to do a lot of stuff in surpringly low color counts, by re-using colors from one ramp in another and so on and so forth.
It's a pretty small nitpick though. Pretty great job all around.
