This is eye candy..Good job. Looks like it would be an neat game, got a lot of interesting little perks, too.
holy hell. nice work, old man. your skills have obviously gotten better from the last time i was here.
This is AWESOME D:
I lol'd hard at the "I will pose for you but first bring me..."
Seriously, get a programmer.
I'm not keen on the sprite style and find it quite offputting but I do love the work gone into all the details and shading of the tiles and stuff.
The amount of work gone into that seems huge.
Love the buildings.
I am speechless. The colours and mixing gives it the artistic feel perfectly. I especially love the map screenshot!
Great job, you should seriously find a programmer to work on this!
I actually don't know what the first/second is. I only see Dali and this one.
Nonetheless, I thought I would add that the perseverence of you and the community is what really makes this stand out. Looking through the thread, I can see the clear progress that made this the mastery that it is.
Incredible work! I haven't even seen the second, but Dali was phenomenal, and this one floors me! I knew you were a great artist, but Hot Damn! you really pulled out all the stops on this one. Kudos to you!
yey!
haven't followed the wip thread in the forum, but damn, this must have taken forever to pixel. so much yummy details. especially diggin' all the little items that are spread all over the screens and florence's buildings & pavement
Ooh God.
That's impressive.
Vitruvian man looks awkward compared to the rest though.
The darker slabs in the gardens are too dark in some areas, it could be improved.
But God....
10/10 and inspiring... By this we love pixel art ^^
Very awesome. Character sprites remind me of Minish Cap.
You gotta finish the Picasso shmup some day, though. :P
The pallete and the clean look are very professional. Big thumps up here.
Gorgeous! I really would like to play all your game mockups. <3 <3 <3
Followed this piece in the WIP thread and am seriously amazed how this turned out right now, excellent job - but i suppose you know that yourself anyway. Your mock-ups are constantly getting better and, as already mentioned once, I'm looking forward to an Escher- or Magritte-themed one. Any chance that you might ever create an actual game?
Outstanding! Design, concept and especially colors are all great. How the hell do you do it?
Seven hundred and twenty-four by six hundred and forty-six.
And yet, nary a single pixel that isn't perfect.
Dang it, J, my medical insurance doesn't cover such situations.
I want to do more than just call out my favourite parts, so I guess I'll agree with Adam and say the Vitruvian Man's face doesn't look like the sketch (please disregard if that was your intention).
I'm going to favourite this and study it for a long long time.
I've waited all day to see this in full resolution(Saw it kinda on bro's mobile at work). So yeah, just brilliant man!.
Mother of all mockups! And, yeah...those tiles are snazzy. :)
I loved the "You found a puzzle" part. You can feel the happiness of the character as he finds the puzzle. It makes me feel like solving something...
Great piece!
Wow! Fantastic piece! If you'd worked a bit more on the face in the title screen, I'd say perfect.
no way!
Can't say anything else but "fantastico" :)
Totally love the streets of Florence and the puzzle game (reminds me of Prof. Layton). The only thing that I would have worked a little bit better is the Gioconda, but who cares!
Heh, that's interesting and inspiring. I love the way you bring historical art into the game again.
This is too awesome, would love to see this in an actual game made using RPG Maker :p
I'm Loving all of these mockups you've been making of artist. Great Work!
Ah, the end result is so gorgeous! Well done, Jalonso. Amazing work.
it rememebrs i should check the forums once in a while.
Hot damn, Jal, you're getting amazingly better with cleaning up your style. Extremely profesh' looking stuff here!
P.s., those ground tiles are gorgeous!
Enjoyed watching this on the forums. Glad to see it turned out so well.
Is this in a tileset? If so, it'd be pretty cool to see that too.
