Another photo-related emotional drama. This is getting boring.
Even if this was pixelled by hand, and it's obvious it wasn't, why the hell pixel it when you can get the same exact result by colour reducing a photo? That's what always goes thorugh my head when ppl start debating over the process of pieces like this.

Don't leave. You do top-notch work. But you know the rules here. Just don't pass off auto-tool work as 100% manual. Why abandon PJ over this?
I don't care about what you're talking, I just don't mind about it. I think it's the great moment to say good bye to PJ community (what I've planned for a few months) -after about five (?) years of membership on this site.

Vital, you seem to be a great artist, but I can't take that statement as the truth.
There's definitely some traching going on here, although you have taken a few artistic liberties, it looks like, and added in your own things. (Background, sharp highlight on mouth, dark spots under mouth, reflection on eyes)
The contour of the shirt is *perfect*, also take a look at the wrinkles on your brow (above your nose), the two spots of light on the bridge of your nose underneath that, the '2' on your hat, the stubble on your chin, etc. Most of those seem like very odd things to mark.
This makes me wonder.
Ok, I've marked main points as chin, position of eyes or mouth,etc. And I can swear that's all what I've done which may be controversial (?-_-)

And its also really easy to put on a effect on a picture like cutout ( to find the biggest contrasts ) and then adding pixels over. It looks to perfect for some reason

This has a great style to it. I really like your use of colors. The way you rendered this person (if it is you) looks fantastic. My only concern is that "W". The middle point could use some fixing and the bottom part of the letter tends to bulge or inflate.
Looks too much like a photo imo, but I still like it somewhat. (I'm not saying you used an automatic process, I'm just saying it looks too much like a photo.. I think it would've been better if you caricaturized it and exagerrated the expression and proportions.)

anymattar - Being Christian doesn't mean the world is stupid. Or at least last time I checked it didn't. And to be honest, I had trouble reading what you wrote because of all the typos. at least try to write like you do in English class. And Harry Potter is awesome.

as for the piece: I do not like his face expresion. it is that expresion that i see an all the people. robots, anamotronis confounded, noncompiluble robots!!! goal:=choose('become faimoust','Do sinn', etc...) and there is a deamon behind him! stand back foul beign!

as for the piece: its lovely! the palette is awesome aswell.... minor crit: maybe aa the sides of the T,H & I's (yknow what i mean?). right now they look a bit to sharp compared to the others....
Sure, here's photo I've based on : http://img710.imageshack.us/img710/6546/v06.jpg . No layers, just wathing and analysing how the shadows looks at my face. At first drawed in Paint, in greyscale, than I've changed palette in ProMotion. Next to that I did details once again in Paint. ( Save and resize to double-pixles in IrfanView with PNGout plug-in, if someone is curious:D). Unfortunately I haven't got any wip steps:/
