Main character isn´t visible enough from my point of view and cupboard differs too much from chairs. Chairs aren´t detailed enough and in the same way as a cupboard.

But the carpet is wonderful *.* 

I liked the details. I'd suggest to put something on the blank space, maybe some flowers =D

Looks pretty good!  I think the text on top should be change to either 8x8 blocks or make it a bit bigger, but with variable width.

If you're curious about the colors limitation.  I could try to explain it a bit.

I think the CGB colors is 32 colors(8 palletes with 4 colors) towards the background object and 24 colors[8 pallete with 3 colors](actually 32 colors if you count the transparentry).  Therefore there's 56 colors maximum per screen.  The tiles and color resolution are 8x8.
