Wow, nice work. It looks so real. But I noticed one thing:
It can be only my impression, but your art seems to have 2/3 light-spots. The light at the bob-omb comes from left, and the light at Yoshi's nose comes from right. And the cylindrical parts have light coming from the center! o,o
There are other places in the pixel-art with this, but I wouldn't listen each one. As I said, it can be only my impression, but take a look at this, ok? If it's supposed to have 2 or 3 light-spots, ignore my comment. ^^

The idea is really cool.I really like when the image have some good thought !Its very well done also!
One thing I would change - the image seem as not "closed properly" or finished it top and bottom.
