He doesn't mean to mix styles, he simply did an increadibly quick edit to show his shading. He's not going to fully render the edit for you, just give an idea of volumes.
If you consider this done and don't want critique please say that straight out instead of belittling the ideas of people who want to help.
Personally i like the peach, especialy the texture. However the body doesn't appeal to me at all. But as it's your work that doesn't really matter. :P
Peach, thanks for explaining yourself. I guess I just don't get it, can you link me to some of the worhol/bansky stuff you are referring to, that might help :)
I could agree on your point of view, but keep in mind that using the same shading on the peach didn't work, turned out too much plain and monotone, secondly the way you're suggesting me doesn't make much sense to me, for a couple of reasons: I don't like mixing two styles on the same subject (that is the peach itself), plus it doesn't give continuity to it and it's, obviously IMHO, wrong from a stylistic point of view. At the end I choose to bring it at this point for a particular reason, basically trying to mimic something that reminds me Warhol, Banksy and many others. If you sticked in saying that the peach didn't seem to be to reflect the same light source, you could have a point. But please, do not continue on this path suggesting me to change the shading on just a part of an element. I stress it: IMHO, it doesn't make sense. As I already told you, take it as a "sticker" on the face. as it is. The Campbell trademark doesn't fit me.
Peach. It's just a matter of playing around my dear. Remember, certain highlight parts of the peach can still retain those grainy details but stuff in the darkness won't have as many details. Creating a darker area also brings the peach more into focus. Check out my edit here to show you how easily you could just add some shades:
well actually I've done the peach in a complete different style so actually changing the shading didn't have much sense. consider it as a "sticker" on the face :)
[EDIT] to be sincere, I've started the peach using the same shading but ended up as being completely wrong and misplaced, and it was far from being recognized as a peach.
shading/lighting on the peach could be worked on, just to match the scene/body. The hint would be adding some darker color to the bottom
hmm, i just noticed the reference pic of the drawing has the peach shaded in, so I really don't get the whole sticker thing if you originally drew it with the proper shading.
