It would be better if his body was moving up and down. By the way ignore Metaru, it's his habit to speak rudely and troll on pixelart. Once he trolled one of my pixelart on DeviantArt...
Apart from the weak animation (which makes him cute by the way IMO) The shading is a bit pillow-like.
We got same problem in walking animation...~@@ get some tips from experience ones=D
Thanks a lot guys, I'm kinda new in pixel art and I see stuff is working quite different from hand drawn or 3d animations. The trooper above is actually walking like a R6 agent walks in a corridor (or at least it's supposed to). That's why his one leg stretches out more. @TheManuz, yeah thanks I'm gonna try that. Also Metaru, you should concentrate on your work rather than trolling in a new guy's gallery.
Yup, the body should go down when the legs extends and up when the legs get together.
thats not very cool to say dude.
ontopic: yes, check out some reference. Look @ other similar sprites and check how the frames go.
Honestly it'd be better as a still. The animation hardly resembles walking. Look up some animation tutorials and figure out how the whole body moves when walking.
Thanks mate, I've learnt a lot after these comments and doing lots of more pixel art. Can't put all of them into the gallery due to making these into a game but after it releases probably I will.
