A Silhouette of the Bunbury water front in (south) Western Australia including the Bunbury Tower aka the Milk Carton.
(Unpalleteable Challenge Entry)
Thanks everyone for the comments, I did enjoy that challenge a lot, after all it provoed my first ever entry here at PJ.
The roughness was actually a combination of intention and not. I wanted the (ugly) tower to be one of the focal point so intentionally made the other buildings and hills indistinct, however there are plenty of poorly placed pixels, this being due to my novice abilities. Yet I'm still pleased with this as an early piece.
@Carokann - Thank you very much, I personally look at this and wonder why i didn't continue the psuedo-wide pixel style in the sky which I think would have made the sky look much better but I'm glad it is still appealing.
@greengun - Pallet was unpalletable challege, and one I liked for it's major retro vibe. I like my (rather high) saturated colours mixed with black.
@Dino - I refer having a pre select pallet, I'm honestly awful at choosing my own colours. One thing I need to improve on.
The sky is beautiful!
wicked. strange pallete but i really like it. i love the building too, and the whole general mood to the piece is perf.
I really like the colors, butother then that huge building on the right, it is kind of rough all over though
What? Nah I made sure I checked that box... Damn laptop better not be screwing up again. Guess my entry was a waste, good practice though.
@Jabber- Hmm thanks can you alter a gallery submission? Yeah I didn't get to fix it up because sunday was mothers day here in WA and I didn't have anymore time to play with this.
Thanks Ky3Mu4 and dpixel. ^_^
I really like that. Great colors.
The sky looks rough, though.
Nice job, but when you submitted you forgot to check "Submit to Weekly Challenge." I'd edit the piece and check it so you're not disqualified.
night and ocean, sexy colors and moon :) fav
Nice use of the magentas. Nice sky and reflections.
