Get rid of all that dither, you could make this mockup so awesome!
dithering is heavy, but in a way that reminds me of old games designed for crt monitors, so I don't mind it so much
You should turn this into a smaller game, maybe one similar to Canabalt, and release it for iPhone. You might just make a killing.
My eye is drawn most to the bg. That's bad.
And I, on the other hand, don't like the roots cross-section. Though, it's creative. I'd rather see a nice big ol' mass of tree roots. Black under everything is a little jarring.
Black and white sprites?
Dithering has a bit too much contrast for my taste, but I really enjoy your characters and HUD!
The player sprite is surprisingly filled with life and attitude. I really like the roots being cut that way. I would like just a little bit less of the saturated moss green tho. But it may be glow from the cube...but then what about the other tree o.O
...green is odd :)
That's sort of what was going through my mind when I was whipping it together, but on retrospect it might not have been the best choice.
