onek Sorry that it took so long to respond.
Thanks for the edit. However I think that with deepest blue composition becomes too crowdy and the element (pseudo-gradient or how it is called?) is unnecessarily repeated. I'd rather stick with white background If solid light blue hinders.
And I don't like that ground extends beyond ship because it changes point of view on the ship, making it look smaller. Lightest blue line (making bg for skis) looks like shadow or like river or like pseudo-gradient (???) air, so it is not very clear.
Really I don't mind it seem flat and 2D because I'd want it to be more designed or pattern thing looking like blocks of colour rather than detailed scene. In fact, I'm thinking about making a t-shirt out of it. So all that matters is how it looks from the distance. (Then, maybe upping the resolution is a wrong move? Doesn't it make it like reduced hi-res digital drawing? Is pixelart nature still pronounced and justified?)
It is a steam/fire. I'd like to keep it - I think that it adds to the feeling of arrival but I have to come up with better solution of steam pattern.
I agree on the font. With different resolution it looks like bottom of the image haven't loaded properly.
I actually liked the preview better than the image itself. :D Fantastic palette but it's more words than image.
yeah, i think ur right about the solid bg .... maybe u could add one more gradient with that dark blue... also i feel like the bubbly thing ( steam?) around the ship is kinda distracting, and makes it a bit flat, maybe just add a horizon line or something to make it more readable and add some depth
...also i think u should make the 'landed' with the same resolution as the 'landing'...
Really I feel that solid blue background steals from the impression of descending spaceship represented as words which is a main idea. And I'm not too shure about which succession of colors creates downwards movement.
I have updated picture in the works. Please tell if it looks better/worse:
