The trees are beautiful. It looks like there is some type of building at the top of the mountain. Perhaps a Castle?
Interesting! Your works are very different and original... Unusual... Do you work in traditional media?
Well looking at this on my PC for the first time, I have to admit colors don't work so well.
The pink/magenta is way more saturated than on the mac, and the greenish white and yellow are much too close (greenish white was s'posed to be almost white).
Stupid computer problems. Sigh.
Thanks guys!
DB: '3rd level of challenge': if you mean I didn't use all of the palette, well I couldn't, it's 15 colors when this challenge called for 12. So yes it added to the difficulty! I might do a 15-color version. Someday. Maybe.
M: thanks for the edit! You're right about that cloud, can't say I really loved it. I like your shape better, not the green though.
PBDC: but why?
That's really nice. I think given the oddness of the palette it's extremely excellent; it really does create the impression of bright sunlight on grass. Not sure what the purple and yellow masses in the sky are though. Kind of trippy.
Nice! I liked looking at your different colour-combinations of this on the thread, they were all so good. It's good to see a small piece that's so awesome.
I admire that you used this palette as it has basically destroyed your chances of placing in the challege.
Eh, you think that horrible dark blue is nice!? well, you could have used it instead of the black! But why didn't you use the dark green, did you feel like adding a third level of challenge to the mix? (Btw. "Unpaletteable Trees" would be ok for a title)
Definitely looks like something realworld/ living and breathing despite the limitations love the shadows, they are effective.
