I'm actually surprised about that, it always seemed rather easy to me to recognize them - although this might just be because I made them Any idea how to improve it without losing the style and the main proportions?
Looking at them 2nd time, with more detail Im affraid they are actually not very good.
Even when I enlarge 2x I cant make much difference between them, not even talking about recognizing any of them.
Problem is that all the heads-faces and bodies are the same, just little changes in color and some detail that are for some reason made even tinier, kinda real life proportions?, so they are no way to spot.
I thought that a point of making those tini figures based on some characters we know is to make them recognizable. These imho are not. So I would say the style of art is not choosen right.
I'm still thinking about a mock-up, might start a WIP-thread soon as I've never made a proper one in this style before..
Thanks, guys! I'm actually surprised myself that I continue working at some projects instead of just being too lazy and never finish them..
Im not sure.
The main problem I guess is that of course they are very tiny. Then again I understand that thats the point.
Next problem imo is that they all have same size, same shape and stance. They are like Ken figures with just slightly changed clothes.
I guess thats a nod to some J-RPG canon ? Im not sure since Im not into JRPGs much, so I just see that it doesnt work here much.
So making them more unique shape, stance would help I guess.
Also I guess it might help to actually remove some details and make the different shapes of characters more pronounced, simplier to recognize.
Also giving then theyr respective weapons\tools\stuff in hands\backs .. would help and make this less 'Ken', more interesting ?
