The way he shaded those swords is just pure awesomeness. It looks real, yet it has a bit of cartoonism.
Something else that i just noticed is the points of your swords, mainly the black one. Think that needs a bit more work.
I think it would look too cartoonish if the contrast was too high and once they are for games they need to be as detailed as possible so the collors are quite close. Anyway ill try adding some contrast and see how it looks like. Thank you for your help =D

WOW this guy is a genious, ill take a good look on his work so i can find some inspiration, i think i know what wrond with the black one, the outlines are too dark ill fix this later.
