pretty large, so that 90% of the image is achieved through floodfill and little care is paid at the pixel level (other than the outlines, which could use plenty of optimization). overall just far too large to be workable as pixel art- which makes me wonder- why pixel art, rather than a more efficient medium? The things pixel art is able to bring to the table can't be utilized here (without several months of intense pixelling).
Wowwww That's So Beautifulll...............
Made With GIMP .coolll
Initially it wasn't going to be such a large piece, but I got a bit carried away. I chose to do it in pixel art intentionally because it was going to be the title screen for a game I'm making and I wanted to give it a more retro feel, so I even used the same color palettes as in my sprites. Ordinarily I would have chosen a more suitable medium for such a large piece (like vector lineart), but I didn't realize it was going to become so large...it was just going to be the tiger, the gnome, and a few platforms at first.
