I think it's not really faithful (do we said that in english ?) to the original piece, but I'm happy that people recognize or remember the manga.

can't remember of this particular scene in "Magnetic Rose", but the piece il really well done and I like the concept.

Maybe you can make the clunky reality last a second more and use an animated element in it, such as a mud drop falling from a column.

Anyway good work... Otomo would be proud of yout :D

He he... Yes, It's hard to understand, but I think that if you watch the film, you could understand, or see from what it is supposed to be inspirated.

[And it's really a good film, with great drawing technique, very fluid and expressive style and implied-horror, not a super violent manga or something like that.] 

I have no idea what's going on, but it looks nice.
