Absolutely excellent image!
I love the style, the artistry, and the whimsy .
You already have a professional level of skill, and it looks like you're picking up the pixeling process with amazing speed, so I predict you're going to do really well on PJ!
Welcome welcome welcome, and thanks for this terrific pixel!
Really cute! I just feel there are too many colours than necessary, since so many shades are similar...but your style is adorable!! I'd love to see a cute game like this ♥
Maybe just try lowering your colour count in Photoshop and see if it looks much different? And maybe try some hue shift on the shading so you can reuse a colour more than once ^^...
I think you have so much potential in pixelling so keep at it! ♥
nice piece!
I kinda liked the ilook of the thicker outline that you had before, though it's jaggedyness was detracting from the peice. If you didn't want ot totally scrap the thick outlines, I'd suggest looking at some ref like Yoshi's Island (1 or 2) or Paper Mario for some sprites with thick borders.
thanks everyone for the comments and critiques :D you guys make me know how much i've to learn from now on---
i fix the jagged outline and change colors a bit now, hope it looks better. ;D
Nice style, but got to agree with what's already been said. The girl's broom and her bloomers are prime spots to increase the contrast. The lighter area on the backside of the teddy bear's heads seems kind of wrong, too. You've got a fantastic start with the characters, just needs some polishing and tweaking. 8D
I think you could use more contrast on the people-it's kind of hard to see what's going on in there. Also, why the big black jaggedy outlines? I think it'd look just as fine without them. If you can't differentiate your characters from the background without a big outline, something's funky.
agree colors and style are nice looks kinda syosa-ish with those patterns on the clothes....
but outlines look very jagged and the bg is kinda rushed i guess and could also need aa....
Wow, I love the style and colors!
However, there are 102 of them: that's a lot. I'm not sure but it looks like you used semi-transparency: you should re-do it manually (I love the transp idea anyway).
Some details could improve too: branches, clouds.
Welcome, hope to see moar stuff like this!
Liking it even better now! I agree with Maru, though, next step is lowering the color count. If a color is really similar to another, pick one, and stick with it. I also think you could lose the extra outling that is present in their legs, it makes it look like they have a thicker outline there. :>
