you have alot of banding going on. I was reading this thread by Helm talking about banding over at pixelation yesterday maybe you should look at that

do a search there for Banding Primer to get to the right part cause I dont know how to make those cool fancy links where you click it and its already scrolled down to the part you want to be at. I think it has more on banding on the second page too.
maybe try some colors other than grays too. Your reference has lots of purples and it looks much more interesting.
Oh I see! Lawl i didn't even see the reference in your description. Okay nevermind. Just ignore my comment.
it's suppose to be the robe type thing that the murderer wears. look on the reference image for a better look.
The hair.... or whatever on top of the ghost face is a bit weird..
i may try that. i basically just got lazy, which is why there's no folds
I think that with all of those grays you should try to get some folds in the cloth.
like, how do they make stuff like this pixel by pixel?
