 I was working with a limited palette - http://phoenix.eclectic-blue.com/contests/mine/pdspal05.gif plus flesh tones. Got the basic pose [basically stick figure] from a stock photo - http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/21755291/ . She looks like a spy, or something fun like that. I had a character name Pirro who was something similar. She had red hair.

Errr. Lots of comments that actually made sense, so I actually edited and reupdated. I do think she looks better now...

everyone's obsessed with her ass!

I don't know, I think this is the best I can get it. I tried moving it, tried a curved hilight tried a round hilight - and no one's happy. Well, except me. (;

 Everything about it rocks, ecept for that asscheek. it just...really sticks out.maybe move the light source over a little bit. it just really protrudes.

 Wow, thanks Blick - I actually tried what you said and it does look a whole lot better. She has a shiny round ass now. XD

I think I fixed up the knees some, too...

 It still looks like she has a flat ass. Like it comes out and flattens, like a thick disk. I think getting rid of the curved highlight and putting in a spot highlight under where the curve highlight would've been would've made it look better.

Also, I think the deep shadows on the back of her knees could be shallowed a bit.

 I had a bitch of a time with the shoes, to be quite honest. They took me an hour just for the shoes. And then I had to shade them. I'm exaggerating a little, but not much. any suggestions on how to make them better will be taken very, very gratiously. (: I don't exactly know what you mean, though - do you mean shade the floor under them? or the heels themselves?

she's supposed to have...a stern face. I was kind of going for something like a scowl, have no idea if I succeeded or not. Sort of a "what are YOU looking at?"

and the dithering on the ass was because it really looked off without it; it looked like her butt was flat, when it should look more curved...

also, looking at her on this computer screws with a lot of the colors. on the computer I was working with, the darkest shade of grey was almost black...and it blended really nicely into the background. here, the line on her left is very very dark, and I don't like it. Want to play with that, too...

Really dig the pose, nice character overall. However, is she intentionally meant to have such a mug face? Not that theres anything wrong with that, I'm sure pretty people exist with fantastic bodies, and not so fantastic faces, I just wasnt sure.

The colours are incredible, but I'm not so sure about mixing the dithering shading technique of the ass, with the non-dithering of the legs. It would make sense were it a textual difference, but I can't see here wearing a scaley skirt bottom.

I just noticed, on the shoes, where the heels meet the ground, it looks a little as if you've forgotten to shade it. Could be wrong.

I must say though, I'm pretty impressed overall. I'd love to collaborate with you some time.

Really interesting colors for the highlights.  Some spy -- where's she gonna hide that gun?
