shame on me for not commenting on this - I love cavestory, and balrog is a precious lil soap, and you did an awesome job in covering his essence.
Not my personal choice but I had a feeling that it would end up in the winning trio. Still, the animation is great :D

I didn't ripped the original sprite if it's what you mean, I just opened my internet browser and searched a picture of Balrog and then zoomed, then I opened my program and beginned to drawn...
Also, I understand you don't like this piece, but you said that I only have done some 'minor chande and called it finished'... I actually took a big time making the animation etc, it's not very kind of your to said that I have done some bad in no more than ten minutes.

The preview pic is great, but the detail pic...It just looks like you took the original sprite of him, put him on the base, threw in a soccerball with a few minor changes, and called it finished. :/
Oh, and, according to Pixel himself, Balrog is a bar of soap. o 3o
EDIT: Hmm...Well, after actually watching it closer, there's a lot bigger changes to it. well, my only complaint is that the sprite of Balrog isn't really changed from the original. :/
His name doesn't come from LotR, it comes from Street Fighter.

My first idea was to make him a clown nose, but it was'nt really... huh.

The peice is great! Cave storys a great game, and I'm supprised I haven't seen any artwork related to it. The animation is good (like all your other pixleart.) Bravo.

This is awesome! I love the animation where he shoots the ball! The little sparks and effects you add to it really finish it, I wish I could do that!
