Um. Pretty quick piece, attempted mixing orange and green for a verdigris effect. Anatomy is pretty slaphazard, so critique supah-harshly.
The bird is a robin (\(*U*)/)
EDIT: Haha look at the size of that arm
Colors! 8D So verily nice colors! And a nice Pun :D
i gotta say the colors are very well done.......as for batman and a bird to me it does not make any sense
None of you understand my artistic vision, rage delete, etc.
Anyway, bit of progress, agreed that the desert was a copout. Will update once that's done.
Big thanks to Manjaman, great crits.
Well, although the anatomy is a bit lacking, the colors are great. Although, I didn't really read it as a statue, it looked more like he was colored that way because of the light.
Having a foundation or something would make it more clear as a statue. Also, a cape like that would be really hard to sculpt.
Nice bird, head seems a little off though. Batman could use a little anatomy changes and the background is a bit bland, but still looking fairly solid!
Honnestly this piece needs a lot more work. See my comment in Retropixel
Man, two left hands, what's da hell, you've got us used to drastically better work !
Agree with almost all the comments below.
The colors are awesome. I really like the little bird you put in there ;P. I think this would look really nice with a city background.
Magnificent colors, great feeling.
Some issues as stated before ;). Also, less dithering and more texturing / dirtying woulda been nice.
there are quite some anatomy issues going on, but kudos anyway for doing something batman related
and I think you nailed the bronze effect pretty good
Batmans arms are to womanly for my likeing. BUFF him up if you have the chance!
Other than that I like it, I think you've used the colours very well.
well the head and the torso seem completely separate, not sure what's really going on between the chin and the pecs. the upper arm is extremely short, and the hand is bent at an awkward angle. not sure why the arm gently slopes down int the chest. also pecs are a bit too large and squarish.
@ska: Yes on both counts. I may be able to work on it a little in the weekend, but I'm submitting now to be sure.
@Mis: Thanks, and argh. Tiredness is not good for pixellin.
ahah... this will be a good 8th wonder of the world XD
Anyway nice piece... some issue on the hand: the thumb looks odd to me...
Just clarify for me that you understood the rules, the 8th wonder of the world is a statue of Batman???
Anyway, the bird look great, everything else seems to lean towards the unfinished side of things though. Also, there's some reverse AA going on on the right hand side. Not your usual quality.
