I was trying to animate it using Flash, which failed miserably. I was trying to enter the contest, but it was rather pointless. 

Thanks for the comments. And the bottom wasn't really intended to be that jaggy, but I liked it so I kept it. The reason why it did that is rather a mystery to me... I think when I anti-aliased it just gave it that appearance.

is that improperly-saved gif noise that it flashes to?

rather jaggy outline, not a particularly skully skull- it's more of a circle with a jagged bottom.

looks like you've got orb shading down though, which will be useful for shading the cranium if you decide to make a more realistic skull.
