Fun with Arne's Palette and symetry painting in Pro Motion <3

Was considering doing more with this but wanted to move on to get back to working on other projects I should be doing :P.  Thanks to Onek for the critique on the forum - wanted to add that tachometer but had already blocked myself in with the initial canvas size I went with so decided to just leave it as is.

Had Nintendude's Noble Pilot stuck in my head the whole time I was doing this.

Words can't and won't describe how awesome this is ;D

I had it doing that originally but it just looked weird. Since it is just a slight change in height off the ground, it looked more natural having it stay at the same point on the Y axis. The thing that might have made a little difference would be if the shadow squashed ever-so-slightly inward, but it worked just as well just to stay the same. Thanks for the suggestion though!

And thank you for the kind words, everybody.

Really nice! How about making the shadow move up and down like the plane?

Might look weird, ?

It's great, it really looks like it's moving fowards.

I voted for this one, of course.

Really well done piece!

I guess the key to this challenge was to make it look like more than 2 frames and this is perfect.  Very nicely done!

I thought of F-zero as well. This is very well thought out. Nice job indeed!

You have my vote as well.

nice one, I didnt even notice it was 2 frames until I read the comments.

I was expecting to see a lot of slow movement animations, weather effects, twitch, interlace and screamers.

But I wasn't expecting anything like this, really great job, easily captures the feel of something like f-zero

Thanks for the kind words!  After uploading it and seeing it in the gallery, I decided the bird's mouth needed to be open like the preview platter.  Choose your own adventure as to whether or not all this stuff is spewing out of its mouth.

This is getting a vote from me.
