ah also the explosion go just up not to the center =)
i dont know but the animation looks like going backwards
Yeah, I'm in agreement with the opinion that the squelching is a bit odd, but I'm not feeling up to fixing it. At least not now. I'm glad it works for some people, though
Great colours and animation.
Fourthing the opinion that the contraction is a little weird. The individual fireballs would contract, but they would not come back together in space like they do here, even as the air and debris cools.
I think the "squelch" makes perfect sense. The fire is white hot and expands rapidly, as it cools and dissipates it darkens and shrinks upwards. I'm no explosions expert but this seems more "plausible" pixel art than a "cartoon" explosion which would be all about being flashy and huge. Either way, your colors and animation are great, this pic kicks ass!
Yeah I'm getting a bit of a squelch feeling but still bad ass ;D
Good point. That is a bit odd, now that you mention it. I'll keep that in mind if I ever decide to tinker with this some more.
Thanks for the comments, all!
Seconded. That part looks a bit weird, otherwise it's great.
Really nice, but the explosion seems to contract after expanding.
Looks better than mine lol
